Richard was born and raised in Norfolk County. His perspective on, and appreciation of, our beautiful area has been gained through a diverse track record in farming and public service.
A tobacco and cash crop farmer for 26 years, Richard quickly became known in the area as “the Christmas Tree Farmer” supplying Christmas trees to local venues, area residents and clients as far away as Toronto.
Sincere, down-to-earth and personable, Richard served as a municipal councillor for the former Township of Delhi for 15 years; 4 years as Deputy Mayor. During this time he served on many committees including: Planning and Protection, Public Works, Recreation/Community Services, and Finance and Administration.
Richard has also served as past president for both the Norfolk and Windham Federations of Agriculture, director for the Agricultural Employment Services Board and a member of the Windham Township Lion’s Club.
His community roots, dedication and enthusiasm ensures Richard’s commitment to uncompromising service and the building of a relationship, with all of his clients, that will continue long after a real estate transaction.
“Rick took the time to truly understand exactly what I was looking for in a home, and kept the search focused on my needs as well as my budget. His diligence and thorough attention to all aspects of the process ensured that I got the house I really wanted. His capable professionalism and friendliness made the transaction a real pleasure. I highly recommend him.” ~ Ed Janzen, Waterford, On
